GTW Ops Communication during transition between Hector and Cadet1

As we are all aware Hector has been decommissioned and Cadet1 has not yet been brought on line.

Given that this is a part time nationwide organisation and that we are very reliant on internet service for effective communications, having no formal database platform presents a risk to GTW Operations.

In particular the risk to nominations and communication for members coming on GTW courses is significant. These courses are ones that GTW are the primary organisers and include RCO, Safety Adviser, Safety Co-ordinator, National Fieldcraft Competition, National Firearm Competition and all our staff training courses (except Bridging Workshops).  A list of the courses can be found to the right of this page under “GTW Courses 2009”.

My team and I are working hard to plan, co-ordinate and deliver the training to you. To prevent disruptions to communications with GTW please contact SQNLDR(AAFC) Saul Wiseman

saul.wiseman@aafc.org.au

All course nominations are to go to this email address.  When submitting a course nomination please include the following:

* What course you wish to attend (kinda important!)

* When you were enrolled (some course require a time in service)

* Your Service PMKeys Number (for budgetary and travel bookings)

* and you contact details (so that we can get back in contact with you!)

Looking forward to hearing from you.

The GTW information site also aims to enhance communication on training issues and provide another medium in which GTW can communicate with the AAFC. The web site will be updated regularly with current information on GTW projects, changes in policy and the organisational direction in respect of training matters.

One current project is GTW Operations are currently undertaking a review of how we conduct our courses and how we can do things better. The feedback that we are particularly interested in is the organisation of the course and in particular such things as Hector activity information, Joining Instructions, travel arrangements.  All feedback to SQNLDR(AAFC) Saul Wiseman saul.wiseman@aafc.org.au

This site is constantly being updated.  Every effort is made to ensure that the information contained within is accurate and up to date. The information is accurate at the time of posting.
