Air Force Cadets from 318 Squadron in Sutherland spent their Saturday afternoon at the football, but they weren’t there to see the game. The cadets, aged between 14 and 15, collected money for Legacy St. George & Sutherland and handed out rosemary to patrons at the Cronulla Sharks versus Penrith Panthers game at Remondis Stadium.
“We enjoy supporting the work of Legacy, by assisting them in their fundraising efforts” said Commanding Officer, Flight Lieutenant (AAFC) David Miskov. “Legacy supports those who have been affected by the death of a family member whilst serving our country in our Defence Force.
“I am proud of the cadets for volunteering their time for this worthy cause.”
The day supporting Legacy was the culmination of a busy week for Sutherland Shire’s Air Force Cadets, who also participated in services at Woronora and Bundeena in the week prior to ANZAC Day, and at Caringbah and Miranda on ANZAC Day.
