In a rare achievement, a Kyneton air cadet who has cerebral palsy has proudly earned his stripes as a corporal.
Rhys Morton-Gwynne, 16, is believed to be the first person in Australia with a mobility impairment to achieve the ranking.
“It was pretty good, the feeling that I’d accomplished something that people who are able-bodied, fitter, stronger, mentally tougher, had failed made me feel pretty damn good,” Rhys said.
