Congratulations to CFSGT Alex Fisher from 217 SQN on his efforts to become the youngest Pilot to circumnavigate Australia and raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Alex battled some torrid conditions on his trip around, and the prevailing conditions in the southern states at the time of his arrival in those states, meant that he couldn’t achieve his goal, as he had to bypass Tasmania.
Safety was the priority, as well as raising monies for the RFDS.
Alex should still be proud of what has achieved and in particular he has shown a great spirit of adventure by this challenge for his age and all young people should be inspired by his efforts.
Yesterday Alex on his final day and leg of his journey departed Bankstown airport, travelling via Newcastle and Coffs Harbour to his final destination (and starting point) Archerfield Airport.
Well done Alex.
