AAFC Banner
The National Banner of the AAFC
The Air Training Corps (AIRTC) National Banner was presented to the then AIRTC by CAF on 27 Apr 1991. The AIRTC National Banner was awarded to recognise the contribution of the AAFC on the occasion of its fiftieth anniversary. The replacement AAFC National Banner was presented to the AAFC by the CAF in 2009 and is shown here with the current AAFC Badge.
The AAFC is ineligible for the award of a Queen’s Colour, (Air Force) Squadron Standard or Governor-General’s Banner. The AAFC National Banner does not hold the same status as a Queen’s Colour, (Air Force) Squadron Standard or Governor-General’s Banner and saluting it by members of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) is voluntary.
